We believe the Bible is God's word written; it is inspired, therefore true and authoritative. All of our doctrine stems from this foundational belief.
We believe in the unity and trinity of the Godhead: in the Father, creator, sustainer, provider, eternal, all powerful, holy Sovereign who is righteous altogether and yet love; in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, our sole mediator; in His eternal nature, incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life: substitutionary atonement, bodily resurrection, personal return from heaven; in the Holy Spirit, His personality, eternal nature and activity in regeneration, sanctification and preservation. Man was created in the image of God but sinned in Adam and is now a sinner by nature and choice.
Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ apart from human merit, works or ceremonies. Saving faith is expressed in life and works. God works to sanctify us invisibly yet effectually and evidently. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, we therefore have a dynamic and personal relationship with God and are given spiritual gifts for service.
We believe in bodily resurrection; in eternal existence of men either in heaven or hell; in divine judgments, rewards, and punishments. We believe that the church is a spiritual body, Jesus Christ her head. The church is both universal and local. Christians in obedience to Jesus' command are to be baptized and to partake of the Lord's Supper.
